Stevie Wonder/Rolling Stones: Uptight/(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction

Recorded "live" at the legendary Philadelphia Spectrum, July 20th, 1972.

One of the trumpet players is hitting some crazy harmonies there at the end. See him evidently enjoying himself in this clip.

Another great pic.

I'm not going to make the replay tonight, but at least I made the 'gig' which is more than can be said for Mick on first listen... Good stuff!

Shouldn't the contribution the Stones took out on court have been "Jumpin' Jack Flash" ?

A valid point, ib.

There is a kind of genetic connection between the riffs for Uptight and Satisfaction. And both were recorded in '65.

Brings back a lot of memories...I got to see J. in an exhibition game in Binghamton, NY while he was with the ABA Nets. Don't recall who they played...a team from the NBA, as I recall (maybe the 76ers?)...I was a junior music junkie but a full-fledged sports junkie already. It was the thrill of my young life.
