Dusty Springfield - Arrested By You
Eternal gratitude to new Viva Radio contributor Wombleton Records for introducing me to this enchanting Rupert Hine cover. This track has inspired me to once again turn to you, dear readers, and ask for suggestions for an all-1990 playlist. This is admittedly a pretty obviously bad idea. (What am I going for here, anyway? Vaguely dated adult contemporary? And if so, why?)
In any case, let me know if you have any tips for hot tracks from the MCMXC, and enjoy the Dusty in the meanwhile.

ReplyDeleteAs for 1990 tracks: thinking over the year now, it's a real hodge-podge of popiness and abrasivness for me. Here's the pick of about all I still listen to from that year:

Not sure how many if any of these hit the art decade sweet spot, but they're all I have!

One that definately comes to mind is "Ride with me" by the Lemonheads, sort of a draggy epic, the mighty A.R. Kane put out a remix EP with Robin Guthrie with a lovely miles apart remix, pure artdecade that one.
