Leon Russell: Manhattan Island Serenade [1972]

Thoughts of Freddie and the Shelter band had me digging out my Leon Russell LPs the other night and, in a pensive mood, listening to this song about 4 times. Every time I hear that minor chord piano intro I half expect to hear "Guess you never knew, dear boy..."

    You're site is starting to become a habit. Always a surprise what you'll share next. Thanks for your efforts and thanks for the Leon Russell song. Clearly..I am in the dark about this guy. But he sure has a distinctive sound.
