At first you want to start singing:

So, is there some trivia here that I don't know about? Both singles were released in '76.
I think both this and that particular Thin Lizzy song (you were thinking of Thin Lizzy, weren't you?) may 'share' a melodic similarity with the Steely Dan track 'Reelin' In the Years', but I wouldn't swear to it in the presence of Messrs Lowe and Lynott's publishers' lawyers.
ReplyDeletePaolo, thanks for the comment. I believe you are on to something since "Reelin' In the Years" is from '72. Now imagine a triple-shot of all 3 songs together:

I confess I hadn't previously noticed the similarity between this an "The Boys Are Back In Town" until you mentioned it, Big B. Or with "Reelin' In The Years".
