Dimitri Shostakovich: String Quartet No. 15 (Epilogue) [1974]
The year is 1974. The following significant musical events happen in no particular order of importance:
• Cher files for divorce from Sonny Bono
• Mike from ArtDecade is born
• The Ramones form
• Abba wins the Eurovision song contest
• Canada’s Juno Awards name BTO the most promising group of the year
• And in the former Soviet Union, on May 17, Dimitri Shostakovich finishes his
15th String quartet, the final movement of which, “The Epilogue,” is posted.
Enjoy.

Good Sir DuPre, please pardon my insolence, but is there not but one "i" in Dmitri?
Who is this performing? Quite a full sound. I guess I've become accustomed to the Emerson version.
Mr H., You say Dmitry, I say Dimitri...
It is the Eder Quartet on wonderfully priced Naxos.
Fair enough. Meet at the Annals later? Blue mouldy!
"wonderfully priced Naxos"
Does that mean it is cheap, or fully and accurately priced?
An invitation to the Annals? Why, does a swim duck?
Jimmy! Happy 125th birthday. See you at the Annals later...
And then there's Sjostakovitj, Schostakowisch, Sostakovic, Schostakovitzj, Chostakovitch, Schostakowitsch, and Sciostakovic.
