Yes: Going For The One [1977]
I kind of really want to go to this. Tonight is sold out, so I'm just sitting around listening to Tormato, wondering if I actually want to pull the trigger on tix for tomorrow...

Like most people I know, I generally find Yes intolerable, but I've kept an open mind because of the other work or reputation of certain members...anyway, that rocked! Thanks.
I'm in for tomorrow night. Call me. I'll be here. Checking stats.
Right on, Godoggo! Glad you enjoyed this.
Thanks for posting this song. A silly band in so many ways, but is there anyone who can give this song a fair listen and not be captured by its dynamics and musicality? By far the band's greatest track and one of the most captivating and creative guitar workouts over put together.
You hit the nail on the head, Mr. Perks -- the silliness is always there with Yes but the awesomeness is never far behind. Thanks for weighing in...
I've been lucky enough to see YES 4 times since 1976 Boston Garden and Worchester Centrum. They have a great video from the House of Blues in Chicago.
I didn't mean to be anonymous, anyway I'm JOE from Boston living in Chicago....keep rockin'
i've been a Yes fan for a long time, and other than some of the late 70s stuff and bits and pieces of the 80s, I don't see "silliness"... anyway, Going for the One is ok, but it's certainly not one of their finest moments. check out stuff like Siberian Khatru, Awaken, and South Side of the Sky for some of those.
Would you please post Parallels
from the same album?
Inspiring blog, this.
