Very nice post, Emmett. "Life's Been Good" was one of those tracks i actively detested at the time, but which, because of the ridiculous amount of airplay it received on FM radio, reluctantly grew on me kind of like a benign tumor.

Picture yourself cruising L.A. in outrageous flares, facial hair and aviator shades; ogling the kind of girls Brian Wilson used to sing about as they rollerblade up and down sunlit boulevards.

Groovy. In an old fart kind of way.

Agreed on all counts, ib. The concept of this post is that if you're hanging out poolside or on a beach anywhere, and/or if you're cracking your first beer before noon, then you might want to listen to this. "Life's Been Good" is one of those classic rock radio staples that I kind of always liked. Cool synthesizer noises in the middle. "Boat Weirdos" is new to me and I've been enjoying it...

"Boat Weirdos" is like a wholesome take on a life of pain killer addiction. I'll take a bottle of percocet, a weeping willow, and "Boat Weirdos" on repeat.

I got to meet Joe once and asked him about the photo shoot for But Seriously Folks (my fav LP ever) he said it took a really long time to take the pics cause the fake food kept getting caught in the pool filters.
