Billy Preston: I Wrote a Simple Song [1972]
Billy Preston: Will It Go Around in Circles [1973]
Two hits from the fifth Beatle.
Sheridan Dupre put me on to this clip, which I believe is from the first ever SNL. Is that right?

Class, Mike.
Nice to hear Billy on his ownsome, especially from this early period.
I believe "Circles" was the original a-side on the single version of "Outa-Space" but it was the latter that lit up the charts ?
Indeed-- that is the first ever SNL, from 1975, back before they found the guest-host-and-two-songs-from-the-musical-guest format.
Joe Cocker was on, too.
