The Holger Czukay here is great! It instantly made me want to check out "On the Way to the Peak of Normal" which i'd come across elsewhere, but resisted as hard-drive space has recently rocketed to a premium...
Time to clear out some of that stuff you haven't listened to in months... Music goes stale sometimes.
You're right, of course... I've just "retired" a shed-load of Tim Buckley that i very seldom listen to, and a host of others, but it's very much a question of biting my fingernails in angst as i empty the trash.
I'm very fond of Can but what struck me with the Holger Czukay is how much it brought to mind a lot of Tom waits material i love as well.
Interesting. I would not have made the Tom Waits connection, but I do it now that you've mentioned it. Thinking about it... I am not sure we've ever posted any Tom Waits.
This is what external hard drives are for. I have a Fantom and it shreds.
Eno & Byrne on tour and on record again? Oo-er.
I have an external HD too that i make partial use of as a filing cabinet, but - nonetheless - it's more an editorial nightmare than a luxury.
Like blending a whisky, it's all a matter of distillation.
Ahhh... Whiskey...
