Nope... Pyro placed a very miserable 8th. Kind of a sad race as the filly finished second and was then immediately euthanized. It's surely a bad omen for Hillary, who had publicly pronounced that the lone filly in the field would take the win.
Anyway, Big Brown will be a 1-2 favorite at the Preakness in a few weeks. He was that impressive.
Also, on another note, Roy Budd's Carter intro, or whatever it is called recently played randomly on my MP3 player. Hizzot. Thanks for posting it a few months back.
Maybe you should take a leaf out of Henry Chinaski's book, and bet on these weird buggy races. Little chance of the horse going down, but then again, i don't suppose they are naturally fond of dragging carriages or being repeatedly flogged with a crop either!
Lest you mistake me for delivering a lecture here, let me reassure y'all that the only reason i don't gamble is purely Pavlovian. That, and the fact that i am convinced it would end badly!
This is all symptomatic of artistic temperament on War Emblem's part, of course. These fucker's have all made moolah on the fruits of his labours, so let them sweat a little for a change! the whiphand is clearly now on the other hoof!

I had Court Vision to win.
BTW, it's hard to imagine how a vegetarian could support horse-racing after yesterday's events.
;)

Yeah, I hate to see the horses put-down. But did you see this article:

That horse is living the life, albeit he thinks too much.
