Only kidding! Its one of these weird things over (up) here: "shit" generally means good, whereas "shite" is as the strict dictionary definition applies...
Yeah, if you can get through the first 3:30 or so, I like the guitar work from then on quite a bit. I saw Santana recently at the Fillmore West and was very impressed by how much energy the old man had in him. He rocked Open Invitation so hard that I saw some of the Hell's Angels in attendance putting in ear plugs.
richard: your review was so evocative, i almost needn't have been there to get a handle on it. Shit. I take that back; i'm heartily jealous. Now I grasp where Mike stopped off on his week-long Californian trip!
Scrolling my RSS, seeing you guys on the 60's and 70's tip lately. I think it's the summer thing...brings out the "lay in the grass hippie" in everybody. The band I played drums for in high school did this tune...it was one of the easier Santana tunes...along with Black Magic Woman. Great, um, shhh, um,...ite?

Hey mike,
is that "great shite" as in "good shit" ? or as in "you great big shite" ?
Just curious.
It means I enjoyed your posts - the notes and the tunes. So I guess I meant "good shit."

I liked the Santna any which way!

Hee hee on those Angels, Mike ...
The deleted comment was me -- the too-long Relix URL busted.
Here's the Relix review of the Santana gig, tiny-style:
