Grateful Dead: Crazy Fingers
Arguably my favorite Garcia/Hunter composition. It was cool to see this getting some reaction from the dream chimney community awhile back. The one downside of the studio version is you miss the Spanish bit they used to do at the end, so I spliced in some live footage to remedy that.

Great song; and nice splice!
This reminds me. You - or Mike - posted some Jerry from "The Pizza Tapes" a while back. I think it was an acoustic instrumental of "Summertime". Is the rest of the session as equally fantastic ?
Ahhh... this one reminds me of bygone days on the high school track team circuit. I was warming near the the bleachers when when an afrolaiden teammate signaled me over, "Yo you gotta hear this, sooo beautiful, I warm up to ever race with this". Oddly, I was transfixed. I doubt I ran any faster, but everything at that moment seemed a whole lot easier.
Weird but I'm seeing Eddie the Head on the cover of Blues For Allah---> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killers_(Iron_Maiden_album)
Great story, Jazi. I love Connecticut!! 100% of all Darien residents listen to Dead bootlegs, probably still to this day...
hey ib,
i think i might have posted that garcia track. there is a lot of acoustic stuff out there, much of it with david grisman. the pizza tapes is available commercially and is really fantastic.
Yes. I think I will check out the CD. I think the track you posted was a jam with David Grisman ?
Cheers, Mike.
Emmett old chum, this is class all the way. Now what is the best live Crazy Fingers ever? That's what i want to know next. Also, want to grab a drink next Thursday? I'm at my bro's place for the time being.
Dude, the best live 'Fingers is probably '85 or later. I listened to a lot of the '76 and '82 ones and they all kind of sucked.
Thursday: It's on!
