Melanie: Brand New Key
On the hunt to track down the facts regarding my Mom's alleged attendance at a Melanie concert which she can't remember, I get the following note from my Uncle, her brother:
"I remember it well Lad! Your Mamma & I went to the Valley Forge Music Fair and had Coors Beer on the way up, I believe it was 1976! In 1985 I saw James Brown there- the stage was round & revolved from set to set!!"
Case closed.

Pretty much everyone has an uncle like that.
get yourself ballroom streets
Usually people have only *one* Uncle like that...
Thanks, George. I'll get a copy.
How can anyone listen to this song and not think of Heather Graham?
Excellent! A horrendous novelty act, The Wurzels, covered this as "Brand New Combine Harvester" in the UK in the very same year, I recall.
The group, drunk on cider - they had us believe - all bore an unfortunate resemblance to homegrown serial killer, Fred West.
hey! I was born in 1976 while my mamma was apparently drinking coors at the Melanie show. what the heck.
Ummm, I dont know if anybody has an uncle like Buck
