late 60's chillwave! This oughtta be covered by Toro y Moi...(all apologies for using the term 'chillwave')

Hey Beastre, many thanks for the comment, and no problem about dropping a C-bomb :) I can hear the connection... to me this is most reminiscent of something Fat Boy Slim or Beck would've sampled in the '90s. Also it's got a little proto-techno vibe to it, maybe?

This is beautiful! Stereolab definitely (whether knowingly or not) owe a lot to these guys' sound. Wonderful late 60's organ drone! I can totally see Beck sampling this on an Odelay track, haha. Thanks for the post.

Hi Benjamin, it's great to hear you liked this! Yeah, I guess it's the Beck track Jackass (which actually samples Them, "It's All Over Now Baby Blue") that this reminds me of.

badass jam! first heard this on a tour cd mix from manitoba/caribou and had no idea who was responsible for this magic. Glad I know now.

Hey Neal, amazing comment, so glad the mystery is solved! Also, I just went to your site and found a link to all the Cinespia mixes, and googling "Caribou tour CD" has brought up some good stuff on soundcloud, so I have my hands full now... thanks!!

Phenomenal. Once again you're changing my life one Italian prog song at a time. I expect this on the next mix.

yeah, this track makes me happy! I use to LOVE the track '69 Police' which used 'Ad Gloriam' for its backbone. The track is by David Holmes and it is off his stellar album from 2000 'Bow Down To The Exit Sign' Track it down if you have not heard it. It changed the way i hear music. Love your blog. Thanks for reminding me of this old track.

Hey Clloydb, thanks for the comment and thanks for the info! Didn't know about that David Holmes track. I will check it right away...
