I think it's mostly creepy because the song is one of those borderline pervy songs, and now it's being sung by the girl it could have been about.
It's like the reverse of when Robert Palmer sang "I Didn't Mean to Turn You On".
Interesting analysis, Grant. Thanks for the comment. Technically I think this is a robot singing with a sampled girl's voice. Not that that diminishes the weirdness..
