Lori and the Chameleons - The Lonely Spy
One of the fruits of the ongoing 1980 project. The surprising brevity of the intro is a nice touch. Thanks, Chameleons.

This Lori and the Chameleons track is new to me. It sounds surprisingly contemporary: it could be a Grimes or Glasser or Lykke Li track. Kewl.
Glad you dug, Plague. I'm always looking for older stuff that doesn't sound old. Double-tracked female vox is one way to get there! Thanks again for the comments.
this totally reminds me of charlotte gainsbourg's "voyage" from her album irm.
@Kimberly. Wow, thanks for that reference; you're right, the resemblance is uncanny. Who woulda thunk it? Lori and the Chameleons as the unacknowledged legislators of 15-20% of pitchfork-pop in 2012!
Hey Kimberly, thanks for the comment. Yeah, I can hear the similarity... ethereal double-tracked dreamy/"psych" female vox plus some cinematic touches and jungle drums...
