Keep On Rolling [1976]
Homegrown heat from Richmond, VA, courtesy of
District Wax.
This was running through my head the whole time I was in the Musée d'Orsay. Did you realize that there are two
Déjeuner sur l'Herbe's, one by Manet and one by Monet?
The art moderne furniture was good, too.

Welcome back, Emmett.
Surely the title - in both senses - is not an obtuse reference to a certain iilicit substance commonly on sale in Montmarte and the more nefarious quarters of Paris ?
Give 'em enough hemp and they'll invent the guillotine.
This group is from Richmond, Va.? Damn, that's where I live...
Hey Bopst, yeah, the label says "recorded at Alpha Audio--Richmond, Va." And you'll notice that Richmond is the first city namechecked as the train begins its journey. The writer credit goes to "Dwight Smith - Clement Burnette" and the producers are "Dwight Smith, Eric Johnson, Nick Colleran". That's all I got. Let us know if you find out anything else about these guys. I just checked your website, BTW, looks good...
Picasso did a DslHerbe which we saw at the Picasso museum. Wonder if Joyce did one.
I'll ask around at the studio...those guys know everybody...
Very cool. Thanks, bopst.
