Beautiful.
Chris was engaged in the recording of "I Am The Cosmos" when he died in a car crash. The year was 1978. The album was finally given its first posthumous release in 1992, I believe.
This song was used in the opening credits of Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist. Needless to say it was the best part of the movie.
Yeah... I love this. The first time I heard it was only a few years ago - as part of the Flaming Lips LateNight compilation. Miles Davis' My Ship followed by Speed of Sound. Definitely good late night music. It's been a long time since I was awake at 5 AM listening to music.
