Dwight Twilley Band - Looking For The Magic

Some music for your Memorial Day car wash, pool party, and/or barbeque. That step down to the minor chord on the chorus keeps segueing into the bridge of Waterloo Sunset in my head. In other words, where Dwight goes "Whoa, oh oh oh I I", I keep ending up at the "Chilly chilly is the evening time" bit of Waterloo. FWIW.

Happy Memorial Day, America.

Now you mention it, it does sound like overhearing a prom band doing Waterloo Sunset from the car pool.

And pretty good too. I might just have to check out the LP; I never really gave The Dwight Twilley Band much of a chance first time around.

Just got an email that JTB's son is in a band and they're playing in NYC on 6/16. Jean says "he writes the music and lyrics, does all the arranging, is the lead vocalist/guitarist..."

it's at
Googie's Lounge (Upstairs at The Living Room)
154 Ludlow (btwn Stanton & Rivington)
NYC 10001
on Wednesday, June 16th at 7:30.

I doubt I'll be there.

Hey Karen, good to hear from you, and thanks for the tip! I don't know if I'll be making it down to Googie's, but it's Sheridan DuPre's birthday, so you never know...

Hope you're doing well.
