Not his best album by a long shot, this, but good post. My favourite, incidentally, is "Berlin" , so a posthumous thank you for the St. Anne's, Brooklyn post with Antony on vocals, Mike ; i wouldn't have heard it otherwise.

And i'm kind of glad, too, that he met Laurie Anderson and is looking so much healthier these days... Lester Bangs would never have recognised him. Does anybody know what became of Rachel ?

Fuck Waldheim, too. Just caught that one too, on the rebound... I know it's kind of depressing and probably inappropriate, but what was the US press take on Kofi Anan when he stepped down fom the UN ? Too much payola these fucking days and inappropriate appropriation.

"Reconciliation" is the kind of politically malefic terminology i detest when there is no evidence of accountabilty.

Hey ib, I have that whole St. Anne's show, if you would like me to upload it for you. It's amazing. Send us an email and I will send you the link.

The US press was unconcerned with Kofi Annan, at best. Have you heard about Paris Hilton? She's in jail. It's tragic.

It's easy to judge a person without knowing him. Not that I knew Waldheim , and I do not know how guilty he was at all, but after all he was a human being and will be missed by his family, as you would miss him , if he was your grandfather...
