Joe Jackson: You Can't Get What You Want (Till You Know What You Want)

A truly inspirational Joe Jackson song, when at that time weren't too many. Hearing Can't Get Whatchu Want always gave me a boost.

Joe Jackson. Sound as a pound. And still an unmitigated smoker of tobacco; which definitely gets my vote.

You can buy crack these days on every corner block, but just try lighting up a cigarette in a bar...

[in response to ib] ... and people are getting off-topic in blog comments. What is the world coming too?
Thanks for the music, Joe.

No. You can't buy crack on every corner block. And taking cigarettes out of the public space was something should've happened long before. It's an health issue, plain and simple. Go smoke in your car or your nicotine stained trailer if that's what you want. This is not a civil liberties issue, not one of any importance, anyway. This is a useless diversion: It's misdirection. What should concern you is our President listening to your phone calls and reading your e-mails, etc, etc.

BTW, Joe Jackson is sounding great these days. (His first two LPs were particularly brilliant in retrospect.) Thanks for the post and the forum.
