i saw ellen at passims in Harvard square in the 70's she was a very large and violent-broke guitar strings and changed em while continuing to play polydor recs are amazing

Interesting tale, Anonymous. Where was Passims, I wonder? I don't think it's still there. BTW I meant to mention that it's Ellen rocking the rhythm guitar on that Jack Bruce number.

I remember this chick. My dad had the album and it got lots of plays on the old hi-fi.

I wish I still had all that old vinyl. It's sad how we embrace new technology, only to realize too late that we were trading down instead of up.

Hey Sean, thanks for the link, and glad you liked the songs! In my mind all the different formats (vinyl, CD, mp3) have their strengths and weaknesses. But if you're going to curl up on a Sunday afternoon with a cup of hot tea and some Ellen McIlwaine, you're going to want to be playing this on wax, for sure.
