Like the pictorial riff from William Blake's 'Ancient of Days'.

[Before the vocals kicked in the music was reminding of Bo Hansson's solo work.]

Nice call on the Blake reference, B. I would like to add that this is worth listening to all the way through.

I gotta say, I was quite surprised - in a good way - at about 3:26. And then I was hooked. I still can't believe there is a band called Ithaca. Next I want something from Amherst, Providence, or - perhaps- Kalamazoo.

...or Hackensack - my fave Thelonious Monk song title.

Hoping to see you at poker night, Sheridan.

The first part is very Floydy; both Gilmour and Syd.

I almost shit myself when (what was clearly) the intro gave way to the second part, though.

Slouching to Kalamazoo ?

That's too funny, IB - have you read that De Vries book? I've been meaning to read it ever since I spent a few days there.

I enjoyed the De Vries' book immensely when I read it about 25 years ago, but I wouldn't swear that it's necessarily stood the test of time. Some hugely amusing passages in it, I seem to recall.
