Islanders - Tirolien Laender

well - you would never expect such a sensitive piece of beautiful indie pop music by a hockey team which - at least at first glimpse - consists of more - äh - robust types of individuals.

But hey - wot are those guys supposed to do in Summer when the season is over? It seems to be a good idea to change their hockey-sticks for a guitar and produce slices of tender harmonies to equalize the number of bodychecks they dealt out during the season.

by the way - isn't it a tirolian laendler? anyway, a great song,

Hey Ano, thanks for the comment. Agreed: this is the best slice of indie pop ever produced by a major NHL franchise. And rather prescient for '82, I'd say.

BTW, I'd like to take this opportunity to say that extreme work overload has been responsible for the blogging slowdown of late, but there will be lots more music posted here in weeks & years to come. Don't dream it's over.

What a wonderful track. Very glad to hear it's just a temporary lull - A.D roolz!
