Jerry Garcia: Accidentally Like A Martyr

Written by Warren Zevon. Recorded in San Rafael, CA, on 8/3/77 (presumably in the wee hours). Featuring JG on electric piano, Bob Matthews on bass, and Jerry's longtime roadie and factotum Steve Parish on drums.

Beautiful. I wonder what the poison was on that evening.

I don't know but they sound pretty weary. Of course that's partly due to Steve Parish's Pavement-esque drum performance.

Just goes to show that factotums are far to often unfairly marginalized. I remember buying Warren Zevon's "Werwolves of London" as a 45 the same year this was recorded... Or was it 1978 ?

Pavement-esque indeed. This is nice.
