Fela Kuti & the Africa 70: Observation Is No Crime [1978]

Emmett's away on vacation, and I am drowning in work and applications, but SPC is stepping in, admirably, and I thought I'd take a break by posting a song with a title I've often had to cite in Central Park in the summertime.

Record in Berlin in 1978, via Lagos and Los Angeles.

It might be a crime to not own Zombie.

Interesting. I was waiting for the perfect right moment to post Fela.

Hey, you know what I love about Irving Plaza? The coat check girls. They are adorable, and deserve big tips. Seriously, every time I am in there I drink one less beer and give the money to the coat check girls. They work so hard, and I am sure they do it for very little money. Seriously, tip the coat check girls well. Especially at Irving Plaza.
